Contemplation of Djehuti
You come, noble ibis, great spirit who loves Khemenu,
Luminous One, dweller in Iunu and counselor of the Ennead.
You give your counsel, making men great with your endowment of
perfect laws.
When Ra speaks, Djehuti writes, and the divine council assents.
Given your word, I walk on the righteous path,
Given your assessment, I am welcomed into the sacred field.

Hail, My Lord Djehuti, Scribe of the Company of Gods, the Noble Ibis of Khemenu! Djehuti, known to modern man from the Greeks as Thoth, is the Ancient Egyptian Neter who resembles the Greek Hermes, and the Roman Mercury. Hermes and Mercury were the Messanger Gods of classical Europe. Their mythos and existence were predated and informed by Djehuti and the theological worldview of the people of Kemet (in the Kemetic language, this means 'black land', and is significantly the root of the word alchemy).
Djehuti is the Voice of Ra, the essential and supreme creative power of the Sun. Therefore, Djehuti is in essence a Creator God (much in line with the demiurge Ptah). Indeed, as the Voice of Ra and Lord of Khemenu, he was credited by the Kemetic people as the author of all works of science, religion, philosophy, and magic. The Greeks further declared him the inventor of astronomy, astrology, the science of numbers, mathematics, geometry, land surveying, medicine, botany, theology, civilized government, the alphabet, reading, writing, and oratory. They further claimed he was the true author of every work of every branch of knowledge, human and divine.

I am a Scribe and Pupil of Djehuti, the Lord of Knowlege. Though I have only knowingly been in His service for about a year of terrestrial time, I feel I have been his student for always. As a pagan and a follower of Djehuti, and therefore of Kemeticism, writting this blog is a spiritual mandate for me - to raise my Voice, so that whosoever may need to hear me, they will be able to do so.
But WHO AM I?
I am your average, contranormal, countercultural scholar and barista. Unique and individual, just like you, my Voice counts, as does yours. We are family, an inextricably linked society of lost yet learning souls. I seek the Light, I seek the Truth that will prove to be the beacon to our most beautiful collective ideals.
I am primarily interested in
language, since I believe very strongly in the Logos and the power of
the Word to create (Hail Djehuti!). Thus, language and literature have
been my primary area of study, understanding that the language of a
culture embodies the character of that culture. A year ago I gained
Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Japanese Language. As well as
these, I have also studied Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, French, Latin, Old
and Middle English and Old Norse.
More
to this I have a keen interest in the interaction between Eastern and
Western culture, especially through History, Literature, Religion and
Art. The Buddhist philosophy, as well as that of Daoism, have both given
much to my worldview and esoteric understanding.
I
am a good man, who seeks integrity and honesty in myself and others
before all else. I am enthusiastic and have the promise of young years
still to be realized. I am a seeker, who, for all of my life thus far,
has ever had a burning desire and urge to understand life. I am a lover
and a diplomat, living to express the love of Nature and the beauty of
Truth. I am studied and keen, always ready to teach, and talk, should
the opportunity arise.
I
bring myself, as I am, with the realization that because of, or in
spite of, all these qualities that I have developed within me, I am yet a
part of the whole, a reflection, and embodiment, of the All. Thus I am
at once humbled and also exalted by the very fact of my existence.
Hail Djehuti!
